Setting a big audacious financial goal

Wealth Tip Setting a big audacious financial goal

In Define wealth, we discussed what wealth means to us in all aspects of our life, not just money. We also discussed how one person’s financial goal may differ from another’s. In this post we’re going explore the money aspect of defining wealth at a deeper level.

When we set financial goals, we often make them reasonable or accessible based on our current situation and beliefs. This may mean a $10,000 a-year increase in cash flow for some or $100,000 for others. Some may only try to replace their current income from their 9-5 job. We set these limitations unconsciously. Our minds have been trained to only ask for so much based on our familial history, personal experiences, and beliefs. This means the amount we’re willing to ask for differs for each of us.

Today we’re going to set all that aside and dream BIG! It’s time to step out of our comfort zone and stretch our minds. Release all limitations. No one else needs to see this unless we choose to share it, so don’t worry about seeming greedy, inappropriate, or crazy. Let’s think of the most outrageous financial goal our minds can devise.

Setting a big audacious financial goal is essential to our growth. The higher we establish our financial goal, even when it seems out of reach, the more likely we are to create a higher income than if we set a lower one. It’s possible we may not reach our audacious financial goal, but it’s also possible we will.

Action steps:

  1. Think of the most audacious financial goal you can.
  2. Double it. Yes, double it!
  3. Set this as your 5-year goal and establish a plan to achieve it.
