To weave our web, we need to start by looking at where our beliefs and knowledge intersect with what we would do for free. This means taking our belief statements, identifying our knowledge around them and how it can serve others, and how we can incorporate what we would do for free in this process. This takes some brainstorming. Not all ideas we write down will appeal to us or be feasible, but we don’t want to censor ourselves during brainstorming. Let even the most outlandish ideas land on the page. There will be time to sort through them later.

- Choose a belief.
- Set a timer for 15 minutes.
- Get ready to write non-stop for the full 15 minutes.
- Write down all the ideas you can think of that would help others.
- Consider where your knowledge lies.
- Ask what information or skill would be most beneficial.
- What product or service could you create?
- Once the 15 minutes are up, set your journal aside for a few days.
- Revisit your journal 3-7 days later.
- Review the list.
- What ideas really jump out at you?
- What are feasible?
- Which aligns best with your belief, knowledge, and the thing you would do for free?
- Which surprise you?
